What would of been a one day story has now turned into a cause for free speech and the media.
The court delayed a ruling today so they can make this a public hearing! Egads. It is going to be a blow up for sure.

But Desmond Browne QC, for the celebrity claimant who has only been identified by the initials PJS, accused sections of the press of whipping up hostility to the courts.
A retrospective claim for damages would deny the claimant “the only form of relief that is worth having”, Browne told the hearing.
“The media, and I refer particularly to … the defendants and publishers of the Mail, have sought to ridicule the granting of the injunction,” he said.
One paper had printed a cut-out template for readers to send to their MPs demanding that restrictions on reporting the “celebrity threesome” be lifted.
“Not all the secrecy had escaped,” Browne added. “There has been no mainstream publication in this jurisdiction [England and Wales] that directly infringes the order.”

I have to tell you, this is very true. I have been following this story since twitter went nuts with #superinjuntion, and this story is still not that easy to find with any details and names. That is why I started writing about it. I was frustrated at how much digging I had to do to find the details. I have been working online for over 15 years and know how to find things out. All the UK publications kept saying it was a big story and out everywhere in the US, but that is not true.
None of the “respectable” online magazine like EW, People, US magazine and those types of soft gossip businesses have published this story.
The National Enquirer published their story on Monday with zero follow up or more stories since. They are terrible online anyway. They have super old stories on their website and seem to rarely update online other then headlines for the week in their published version. I guess they want to keep their print side the main thing going for them. No blame there.
What Desmond Browne QC for PJS and YMA said it very true. Unless you care enough to spend a little time looking online this story is NOT headline news with the names of the people involved. Most people would do a few searches and give up I think.
UPDATE: On April 18, Court of Appeal judges ruled that the injunction in England and Wales will be lifted on Wednesday, April 20, pending an appeal by Elton John and David Furnish.
